I know I can’t be the only one who love breakfast food, and please *raise your hand* if you love to make breakfast for dinner! And in honor of National Hot Breakfast Month (oh yes, it’s a holiday people!), we’ve decided to swap breakfast foods for dinner instead once a week all month! In fact, tonight it’s steak and eggs (for mom) while Max will be having some more Krusteaz chocolate chip pancakes.
There is just something about having comfort food – aka fluffy pancakes – after a hard, long day. Plus, they’re SO easy to make. Wait – you’re having trouble making the perfect pancake right? Let me help –
Why you’re not making Pinterest-worthy pancakes.
- It’s all in the pan. If you’re not using a nice non-stick skillet or pancake griddle, you’re asking for disaster. It’s time to throw out that one you’ve had since college and adult.
- It’s all in the mix. You need a perfect pancake mixture – which is why we love Krusteaz. One cup of mix to 3/4 cup of water and viola – the perfect pancake consistency. It’s like the three little bears – if it’s too thick or too runny, you’re not going to get the spongy, soft cake that dreams are made of.
- Get some props. First, pouring the mix is always a mess right? Get a pancake pourer. And while you’re at it, get some silicone molds. We have heart, circle skull and star (which you can also use for eggs!). As much as you think it sounds too creative, it actually makes it EASIER to contain the pancake and help it cook more consistently. Trust me.
